Dhul-Kifl
Named among the patient, and among the excellent
Like Alyasa, Dhul-Kifl is named in the Quran only within short lists of prophets, with no independent narrative given for him at all. He is grouped once with Ismail and Idris as among the patient who were admitted into God's mercy, and once with Ismail and Alyasa as among the outstanding. The Quran gives no further detail, and this story adds none — the honor of being named is what the text preserves, and that is what is kept here.
The Quran names him with Ismail and Idris: all were of the patient, and We admitted them into Our mercy — indeed, they were of the righteous. Elsewhere, named again with Ismail and Alyasa: and all are among the outstanding.
And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.
And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous.
And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding.
